By and For Inland NW Writers

I have recently renewed an interest in doing freelance writing work.  I have scoured the internet over the years looking for way to do this and have discovered several sights that connect writers with potential jobs.  With my skills as a writer, illustrator, photographer, and creator of spectacular ads and flyers; I should have no problem finding assignments to sustain me.  The only problem I have found is that there are so many sites that promise to connect writers with jobs but they are hard to navigate or difficult to use.  Then there are the sites that charge outlandish fees.  I have tried many different places to find freelance jobs and have found only minimal paying assignments that offer the benefit of being published at least.  For now I will continue to forge my path into the writing world and make my journey as it presents itself to me.

In the meantime if any of you out there have any suggestions as to how one might hasten the pace I would love to hear what you might have to share.  I know if I had a mentor, a guide into this murky unknown world; the journey would be a more pleasant ride.  Happy Writing!

Most of what I've been doing has been without pay - book reviews, etc. I am presently working on an author interview which may yield $, but don't know if the site will accept it yet.
