By and For Inland NW Writers
Do you remember that day with the wind in your hair?
You said “Don’t be so silly, I really don’t care.”
The sun was shining so we went for a walk,
We were so in love that we didn’t talk.
We walked along holding each other’s hand.
Do you remember the name of that band?
It didn’t matter they had a great sound,
It was a crazy beat that was floating around.
It was quite late when we got home,
We turned off the lights and unplugged the phone.
It didn’t take long before we were in bed,
We made such a sound; the neighbors sat shaking their heads.
The Police, they did drive by,
They stopped and asked us why.
Your band played such a wonderful sound,
It was so great we had to party down.
