January 2017 INWG Meeting 1-18-17 6-8 pm

We're moving the meeting site to Frankie Doodle's restaurant at Division & Third in Spokane. It is convenient and has a parking lot, so should be easier for many members to join us. This month, members will read from their current work on a first-come-first-signed-up basis. Come to read or just listen and visit with other writers. You can have dinner, a snack, a drink, etc., but most important is that you will have some fun and connect with other writers to share and exchange ideas. I look…See More

Status of Our Network

Hi, again! As I noted to you all before, I will not be supporting an upgraded level for our group here at NING. Some of the functions (like Forum) appear to still be working, at least for now. I don't know if or when these others functions may be removed, but perhaps minimal use will still be allowed. If you run into problems with any particular activity, I will likely not have a good answer for you, but I will be able to work with you in other ways, so keep me posted at…See More

INWG Member Pages to Close Effective 10-1-16

I am sorry to have to inform you that I will be closing this site effective 10-1-16. The host - NING - is raising rates and cancelling the less expensive category that I had for this. Since it is really not used much by members, I feel the $25 minimum per month they are asking me to pay to continue the site is not warranted.I will e-mail everyone soon with details, but you can join the INWG Group that I have had for about a year on Meetup if you wish. Just search for INWG.Again, I will send…See More

Hi, all...I'm very excited to have Cindy Hval at our gathering tomorrow night (Wednesday, 6/15). We'll be on the mezzanine at Auntie's (Main & Washington in downtown Spokane).First, we will have our ongoing grammar refresher course from 6-7 - and we're moving on from punctuation to actual grammatical interests, so if that's your "weakness" feel free to come along for the literary ride.At 7 p.m., we'll give the evening over to Cindy who will talk about her book - War Bonds - and how she got…See More

Howdy... it's that time of month again! We'll meet at 6 with our continuing punctuation and grammar "class" and follow that with a regular meeting at 7. This is a Test

Just a test to see if anyone is listening... I will ask at our meeting if anyone saw this message. The test will be if you know the secret word (happy!) and, if so, I will give you a free ARC from a small supply we have of upcoming books.

Tired and Worried

Is it just me, or is there a lot of tired going around? Just trying to figure out if it's the heat or something else. I mention being tired to anyone and they seem to feel they are too, so what gives?

Any ideas?

Unfortunately I do not believe I am the Kaylee you were referring to. I am relatively new to Spokane and have been desperately searching for a literary community to delve into. I am very thrilled to have found like minded people. I hope to write a book someday but have no idea where to start. I would love the opportunity to meet you all!

Yes, I've remembered Frasier's in Seattle and not inland - and the Kesey novel has some scenes on the coast, too, though I think the main story is inland up all the rivers he names early on. sorry to violate everything you're trying to do by specifying Inland NW Writers ....

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm interested both in meeting people with similar interests to myself and in getting valuable feedback on my book. I will definitely make it to the meeting in February, and I'm looking forward to it.
