Hi, Christine! sorry this took so long - I did not know anyone could find the site to join. I'm not conversant in Nanowrimo but I believe it is simply intended to get you to complete a novel draft in one month. I guess people try for about 50,000 words but perhaps I can let someone know you are looking and we can contact you later unless you make it to tonight's meeting. if so, do ask the group! Linda
i write a little bit of this and a little bit of that. i can't write it all really. It just depends on my mood. I write a lot of YA because i don't feel that there is enough YA books out there that have strong female characters and that have wit in them. I am slowly converting twilight fans to prophecy one person at a time and i couldn't be happier about it! I have a call with an agent tomorrow morning. They want to rep my work possibly. (fingers crossed)
Very cool about the agent! Good luck tomorrow...or break a leg; I'm not sure which is appopriate... I would agree with you about not having enough YA strong, female characters. Have you ever read the Maximum Ride books? I like them alot.
I am currently writing a fantasy story, but I don't know how to explain it. It was just an idea that threaded itself into my brain and has stuck ever since. I am quite proud actually. I will be looking for beta readers shortly!
